5 Easy Tips for Your 3M Clear Bra Paint Protection Film

1. Clearbra ought to not be waxed. Waxes and other substances may bond to the clear bra. This can lead to yellowing and haziness. We suggest making use of Plexus or Original Bike Spirits, right after washing the vehicle, to lubricate and lessen friction. (Venture Shield clear bra should be waxed!)

2. If your clearbra has minor scratches or scuffs pour rubbing alcohol on the 3M clearbra and let stand for 1 minute. Some scratches will disappear.

3. When pressure washing your vehicle, make sure to maintain the end of the pressure washer much more than three ft away from the clear bra. Pressure washers and touch-much less automobile washes can quickly damage freshly applied &lta rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/write-up_exit_link'])” href=”http://extremeaw.com/Clear_Bras”&gt3M clear bra&lt/a&gt.

4. If you see bubbles or peeling edges, DO NOT TOUCH THEM! Bring the vehicle back to the shop following curing. This is generally about 30 days. It is typical for the edges to curl,  peel, or bubble about a 1/8″ away from the edge, where the clear bra ends. If the 3M clearbra was brought all the way to the edge of the hood or fenders, this is acceptable, due to the fact the peeling edges can be trimmed and still offer great coverage. Ask your installer if he can wrap the edges of the clear bra for the best coverage. Pre-cut kits and poor cut jobs that do not go to the edge will leave a lot of paint exposed. If you notice 1/8″ or less peeling bring the vehicle back to the shop and have the edges trimmed. If its a lot more than that, the shop need to replace the piece of clear bra.

5. Clear bra is normally covered by automobile insurance. If you are in an accident, the clear bra should also be replaced as part of your insurance claim.
